Mariah Trixie

Mariah Trixie grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where she has fully immersed herself in a wide variety of art mediums. She gains inspiration from various cultures and countries. Her main medium of choice is acrylic paint on canvas. She paints using the 3 primary colors: (red, blue, and yellow) while using white and black paint to form different shades to create a pallete of the color spectrum. Other mediums that she has had continuous success with include: Conté, graphite, spray paint, oil paint, pastels, and charcoal. She has been drawing and painting professionally for nearly two decades specializing in En Plein Air and Impressionism. She has studied International Baccalaureate (IB) art and university level art where she has solidified her technique in drawing/painting while exploring different mediums and gained inspiration from artists including Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, and Camille Pissarro.  Topics she has explored in the past include: Political/social issues (influenced by Banksy) and the human body.
